New York shooting leaves one dead, four wounded

Baku – APA. One person was killed and at least four others were wounded in a shooting in Hamilton Heights Sunday night.

An unknown gunman unleashed a fusillade as the victims stood on the sidewalk on Broadway near W. 136th St. at 11:15 p.m., cops said.

One of the victims died at the scene, a Fire Dept. spokesman said. The gender of the victim was not released, but his body was lying under a sheet in front of Wally's Deli at 135th St, APA reported citing New York Daily News.

One was rushed to Harlem Hospital Center in stable condition while two others were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital.

The motive behind the shooting was not immediately clear.

A witness said he heard six loud shouts. "I knew they were gunshots and when I looked outside I saw about 15 people running down the street," said the man, a worker at Laith Deli nearby. "I locked up the store."
