Baku. Zumrud Pashayeva – APA. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held a meeting as part of the UN General Assembly meeting to discuss both Iran’s nuclear issue and ISIL threat, APA reports quoting Anadolu agency.
The sides also agreed to meet further as needed while in New York this week.
In his speech at the UN General Assembly meeting last week, Kerry emphasized each country’s role in the fight against the Islamic State, also known as ISIL, adding that Iran assumes some responsibilities for this issue.
