Baku-APA. An explosion shook a small city in southeast Texas Tuesday morning, leveling a home and injuring three people, APA reports quoting local media.

The blast happened at a one-story house in Willis, a city 80 km north of Houston, according to local TV ABC13. Three people were airlifted to the hospital, all listed in critical condition.

Neighbors told media that ceilings in their homes fell down and windows were blown out. Residents living several miles away said they've heard and felt the explosion.

TV footage showed the home was completely leveled to the ground. Witnesses said two of the victims were thrown from the explosion while the third crawled out of the rubble.

It's not clear what caused the explosion. Media reports suggest it might be the result of a build-up of flammable gasses in the house.
