The United States withdrew all of its B-1 bomber jets from Britain's RAF Fairford air base following the incident that led to the arrest of six suspects believed to be possibly plotting an attack on the base, officials told The Wall Street Journal on Sunday, APA reports.
The Pentagon said the bombers have returned to their home stations in the United States, while emphasizing that they remain ready to provide global strike capabilities from the continental US, the Pentagon confirmed to the outlet in a statement. Namely, all suspects were released on bail.
