The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) shared in a statement on Saturday that it supported 1 billion barrels of oil leaving the Strait of Hormuz in the last couple of months, APA reports.
"We reached this significant milestone by assisting over 2,000 commercial ship transits ... by providing coordinated protection," CENTCOM detailed, insisting that the momentum is building.
The US army further stated that thousands of ships had already passed through the waterway, with Iran exporting "zero barrels [of oil] thanks to our ironclad blockade."
