US President Donald Trump believes an understanding has been established between him and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, APA reports.
"Kim Jong Un has always treated me with great respect. We've met several times, mostly twice. We've met and talked," he said, answering questions from reporters at the White House. "I understand him, and he understands me." "I get along with him very well," Trump added.
The US President answered affirmatively to a question about whether Kim Jong-un had responded to his offer to hold talks. Trump added, "It's very positive." He did not provide further details.
