The United States has expanded sanctions targeting members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and officials of the Palestinian Authority (PA), the US Department of State said, APA reports.
“The United States will extend sanctions under Section 604(a)(1) of the Middle East Peace Commitments Act, which provide for the denial of visas to members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and officials of the Palestinian Authority (PA),” the department said in a statement.
Palestine is recognized by 148 UN member states.
Palestinian embassies and permanent missions operate in 95 countries.
