United States President Donald Trump signed an executive order allowing wider purchases of tax-free red-dyed diesel by waiving the requirement that the fuel be used only for off-road purposes, APA reports.
Trump said the move would allow anyone to buy the fuel tax-free "for any reason." He described the order as "historic" and noted that red-dyed diesel is the same as regular diesel, but is typically reserved for off-road vehicles and other qualifying uses.
"Red-dyed diesel. You know what that is? I don't know what that is, but whatever it is, it's supposed to be very good," Trump said jokingly before signing the measure.
