United States President Donald Trump said on Friday that he will soon declare the Strait of Hormuz American territory, APA reports.
"Pretty soon, I'll be declaring the Hormuz Strait a territory of the United States. Essentially, that's what it is," Trump said. "We have the blockade; no ships get through unless we want them to," he added, claiming that Iran is being "very badly defeated."
The US president also reiterated that his country's naval blockade is "unstoppable," calling it a "wall of steel." He noted that if the oil prices are currently "a little" higher, it is only so that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.
