A pilot has been killed and two police officers injured after a small plane collided with a police helicopter in the US state of Pennsylvania.
The accident occurred when a Cessna 150 aircraft changed direction while landing and struck a Bell 407 police helicopter flying close to the ground.
Pennsylvania State Police said the plane broke apart following the collision and its pilot was killed.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have classified the incident as a mid-air collision.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
