Baku. Shamil Alibayli – APA. “There have been many successes in this project particularly in the agricultural sector both for farmers and agricultural processors”, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director in Azerbaijan Brooke Isham told journalists.
“This is my personal favourite achievement of the projects. Some farmers increased their sales by 200% and some processors increased their exports by 50-70%. We are proud of that, because farmers and processors not only helps personal assisting but it helps families, communities and entire Azerbaijani economy diversify, which is important for the future welfare and prosperity of all Azerbaijani citizens This is a very good example of cooperation between the US and Azerbaijan. We are working on details now and we are very hopeful that the project will be fifty percent financed by Azerbaijani government and fifty percent financed by US government as an example of strong cooperation between two countries”.
