According to him, a contract on requirements for quality of Russian product has already been signed: “We produce very qualitative beef. That beef belongs to premium segment – produced for hotels and restaurants. We have not define how many beef we will export to Azerbaijan. We have potential to send thousand tonnes per year”.
Yushin also commented on how the prohibition of meat import from foreign countries after sanctions has influenced the Russian market: “We substituted Canada with China as a response to sanctions in pork segment. Regarding poultry, Russia has never depended on import. Totally, Russia needed 10% of poultry and US is substituted with Turkey and Latin American countries”.
