Azerbaijani and Moscow city governments to sign MoU

Baku – APA-Economics. A Memorandum of Understanding is expected to be signed during the visit of the delegation led by Moscow Mayor city Sergey Sobyanin to Baku on September 25.

APA-Economics reports quoting Russian press that the document will serve strengthening of cooperation between Azerbaijani producers and business circules in Moscow.

According to Russian media, the memorandum envisages extension of agricultural cooperation.

Russian media also says that the cooperation between Azerbaijani and Moscow governments is based on the contract signed on June 13, 1997. According to statistics of the previous year (excluding industry and energy sphere), the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Moscow made $ 500 mln. In the first half of 2014, it made $ 140.6 mln.

Azerbaijani companies invested over $144 mln in Moscow’s economy.
