The Ministry’s press service told APA-Economics that under the instructions, the State Veterinary Service sent a telephone message to the veterinary departments of the Caspian Sea shore districts. Serious instructions were given in the telephone message to monitor the sea shore areas, take samples from dead or seemingly sick fish, send the samples to the Republic Veterinary Laboratory, keep these territories under constant control.
The measures were taken after media reported about mass death of grey mullets on the shores of the Caspian Sea in Mazandaran province of Iran, threat of the diseases found in fish for humans and animals.
