Baku. Aynur Aliyeva – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov met with Germany’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Heidrun Tempel, the Ministry’s press service told APA-Economics.
The meeting took place on the eve of the Minister’s visit to Germany. The aim of the meeting was to discuss prospects of cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Heydar Asadov said Germany supports Azerbaijan’s initiatives in the agrarian sphere, underlined that special attention is paid to the enhancement of relations and cooperation with Germany.
Heydar Asadov said Germany has great experience in the agrarian sphere, noted that it was planned to purchase 100 Claas combines from Germany. Noting that there is a great potential for cooperation with Germany, Minister underlined the importance of viewing the opportunities to establish joint ventures on production of technical equipment, production of veterinary and plant protection devices, enhancing cooperation between German Society for International Cooperation and Ministry of Agriculture
Heydar Asadov invited German companies to take part in Food and Agriculture Exhibition in Baku in May and said there is favorable environment in Azerbaijan to make investments in agrarian sector.
Ambassador Heidrun Tempel said bilateral relations will be continued in food safety, science and research, food quality, workforce capacity and technical provision of agriculture.
