State Statistical Committee says food production increased by 2.8%, drink production – by 14.7% compared to a year earlier.
Sugar and powdered sugar production rose 4.2% to 356,700 tonnes, whole milk soared 1.3% to 761,500 tonnes, cheese and cottage cheese surged 1.4% to 43,500 tonnes, jam and candied fruit jelly climbed 2.9% to 9,800 tonnes, beer increased by 13.3% to 5.2 mln decaliters, soft drinks 5.6% to 24,800 mln deciliters.
