The State Statistical Committee says 2,806,900 tonnes of grain, 736,300 tonnes of potatoes, 988,500 tonnes of vegetables, 340,400 tonnes of fruit and berry, 398,100 tonnes of garden products, 2,169,400 tonnes of tobacco were gathered from the fields as of September 1, 2013.
During this period, meat production rose 3.1% to 304,700 tons, milk – increased by 7.1% to 1,227,100 tons, egg – by 15.2% to 914.6 mln units.
