Baku. Vusal Nabiyev - APA-Economics. Russia has increased grain export by 4.8% since the agricultural year was declared on July 1, 2016, Rusagrotrans expert, Igor Pavenskiy told Interfax.
In July-August 2016, 5.68 million tonnes of wheat were exported, while this figure was 5.42 million tonnes in 2015.
Along with this, the company exported 6.58 million tonnes of grain in July-August, down 4% from previous year. In August 4.04 milion tonnes of grain have been export.
Pavenskiy said main importers were Turkey (14.5%), Egypt (13.1%), Bangladesh (7.2%), Morocco (5.53%) and Azerbaijan (5.52%).
So, Azerbaijan imported 223,008 tonnes of grain from Russia last month.
