The World Bank has updated its forecast for rice prices for 2026–2027, APA-Economics reports, citing the World Bank's next report on commodity markets.
According to the report, the price of one ton of rice is expected to be 401 US dollars in 2026. This remains unchanged compared to the forecast issued in October last year.
According to the World Bank’s forecast, the price of one ton of rice will be 413 US dollars in 2027, which is 4 US dollars higher than the October forecast.
Based on the Bank’s projections, rice prices are expected to decrease by 1.7% year-on-year in 2026 and increase by 3% in 2027.
According to the report, the price of one ton of rice stood at 408 US dollars in 2025.
