The total export potential between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan exceeds $1.15 billion, Mirshohid Aslanov, CEO and co-founder of Uzbekistan’s Center for Progressive Reforms (CPR), said at the presentation of the “Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan Business Barometer," APA-Economics reports.
According to him, this creates the necessary basis for achieving the target set by the leadership of both countries to increase mutual trade turnover to $1 billion.
It was reported that, according to studies conducted by the Center for Progressive Reforms (CPR) and CASPIA based on ITC Trade Map data, the real potential for expanding mutual supplies is estimated across more than 43 product categories.
According to the study, the upper limit of Azerbaijan’s unrealized export potential to Uzbekistan amounts to approximately $650 million across 22 key product categories.
