Revenues of two SOCAR divisions from non-oil exports sharply decline

A sharp decline has been observed in the export revenues of the Marketing and Economic Operations Department and the Gas Export Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in January–February this year, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication told APA-Economics.

Thus, during the reporting period, SOCAR’s Marketing and Economic Operations Department exported non-oil products worth $27.4 million, which is a 2.6-fold decrease compared to the same period last year.

The company’s Gas Export Department exported products worth $2.6 million during the period, which is six times less year-on-year.

It should be noted that in the ranking of non-state exporting entities for January–February 2026, the top ten included the Representative Office of Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Agrarco LLC, Prime Cotton MMC, Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association LLC, Baku Steel Company CJSC, Prime LM LLC, P-Agro MMC, Khan-El MMC, Mors Trading MMC, and STP Aluminum MMC. Among state-owned companies participating in non-oil export operations, AzerGold CJSC leads the list. It is followed by SOCAR Polymer LLC, Azeraluminium LLC, SOCAR’s Marketing and Economic Operations Department, Azerpambiq Agrarian Industrial Complex LLC, SOCAR’s Gas Export Department, Socar Cape LLC, Sanayecihaz Production Association, Istisu Mineral Water Plant MMC, and Garadagh Glass Plant OJSC.
