Price of corn imported to Azerbaijan drops by almost 13%

In January-November of 2023, 65,336 tons of corn worth USD 19,375,000 were imported to Azerbaijan, according to calculations made by APA-Economics based on State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan's report.

Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, this indicator has dropped by 6.7% or USD 1,4 million in terms of value, and by 6.8% or 4.1 tons in terms of volume. In January-November of 2022, 61,391 tones of corn worth USD 20,774,000 were imported to Azerbaijan.

Note that the importing price of the corn brought to Azerbaijan has dropped by 12.6%. During the reporting period, the average price of 1 ton of corn brought to Azerbaijan has amounted to USD 295.6 (ANZ 502.5). This indicator was USD 338.4 (AZN 575.3) in the corresponding of the previous year.

During this period, the import of corn made up 0.12% of the total import of Azerbaijan.
