According to him, there are contracts on import of grain from foreign countries by Azerbaijani businessmen: “I think, no problem will occur in Azerbaijan on wheat”.
He also noted that the farmers were recommended to use qualitative seeds and mineral fertilizers.
Abbasov says if the farmers take the considered measures necessarily, Azerbaijan will be able to supply itself with food wheat: “In grain growing process, near 40 agro technical measures must be taken and if the farmers take 20 of them, quality and volume of the grain production will increase”.
