Azerbaijan's President attends opening of refrigeration storage complex in Fuzuli

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the refrigeration storage complex in Fuzuli region, APA reports.

The head of state was told that the complex in Ahmadbeyli village of Fuzuli region meets the most modern standards.

With the view of establishing the complex worth AZN 4.5 million, Economic Development Ministry's National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support granted AZN 3.2 million concessional loan. The capacity of the storage complex is 5 000 tonnes. The complex has been supplied with modern equipment from Germany, Italy and Finland. Vegetables - potatoes and onions grown by the internally displaced persons settled in Fuzuli and the surrounding regions will be mainly kept in the refrigeration storage complex.

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev was also informed about the concessional loans granted by the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support to the entrepreneurs from Upper Karabakh economic region. Executive director of the fund Shirzad Abdullayev said 627 entrepreneurs from Upper Karabakh economic region were granted AZN 16.2 mln concessional loans, including AZN 10.8 mln for five investment projects based on new technologies. The realization of these projects will allow to create about 1600 jobs.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the newly-opened “Karabakh Broiler” factory. He was told that the factory was established on the base of useless live-stock farm in Karabakh village of Fuzuli region, which was liberated by the Azerbaijani Army under Heydar Aliyev’s leadership in 1994. This project has also been implemented through the concessional loans granted by the state. The factory is worth AZN 7.2 mln. AZN 5 mln concessional loan has been given by the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support. 14 poultry farms have been reconstructed, cutting plant, 150 tones refrigerating section established at the 25 ha-area factory. 2100 tones of different kinds of poultry meat are planned to be produced at the factory. The products will be sold under the brand “Karabakh Broiler”. 120 displaced people from Fuzuli and surrounding regions have been provided with new jobs.
