Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January this year, agricultural products increased by 4.5% percent in Azerbaijan compared to last year.
The State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that along with preparation for spring-field works, 35,5 thousand tonnes of meat in live weight, 129,8 thousand tones milk, 111.2 mln eggs and 2 570 tonnes vegetables were produced in January.
“Meat production increased by 2.3%, milk – 5%, egg – 20.3%, vegetable – 10.2% and total agricultural product – 4.5% compared to relevant period of 2012,” – said the Committee.
