Iran has the potential to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in the agricultural sector, Iranian Minister of Agriculture Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh told APA’s Tehran bureau.
He said that he had spoken with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture twice — both in person and by phone. During the talks, the minister stated that Iran was ready to expand cooperation in the agricultural sector.
Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh touched upon opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the transit of agricultural products. He noted that there is potential to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in this area.
The minister said that it is currently possible to cooperate on the transit of Iranian products to Russia through the territory of Azerbaijan.
