In January–March 2025, Azerbaijan produced 529 kg of sturgeon caviar, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
This volume is by 5.1 times, or 425.9 kg, more compared to the same period in 2024. In the first quarter of 2024, 103.1 kg of sturgeon caviar was produced in Azerbaijan.
Note that from January to February 2024, Azerbaijan exported 160 kg of sturgeon caviar worth USD 167.2 thousand. The average export price per kilogram of black caviar during this period was 1,777 AZN.
Recall that, in the same two-month period, Azerbaijan imported 1,140 kg of black caviar from China worth USD 343.32 thousand. The average import price per kilogram of this product was 512 AZN.
