Azerbaijan's non-oil sector exports increased by 9%

In January 2026, Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports increased by 9% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 268.4 million US dollars, APA-Economics reports, citing the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

During this period, exports of food products rose by 22.6% to 103 million US dollars. In January, sugar exports increased by 169.3%, cotton yarn by 137.6%, vegetable and animal oils and fats by 90.8%, aluminum and aluminum products by 39.5%, fruits and vegetables by 32.1%, raw cotton fiber by 23.2%, tea by 20.9%, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 14.2%.

Agricultural exports increased by 32.6% to 85.7 million US dollars, while agro-industrial exports amounted to 21.9 million US dollars.

Overall, non-oil and gas exports totaled 268.4 million US dollars in January 2026.

The combined exports of the top non-oil products increased by 23.8% to 107.6 million US dollars.

Gold (33 million US dollars) ranked first among non-oil exports, followed by shelled hazelnuts (29.3 million US dollars) and fresh persimmons (22.3 million US dollars).

In January 2026, Azerbaijan exported non-oil goods worth 77 million US dollars to the Russian Federation, 38.6 million US dollars to Switzerland, 31.6 million US dollars to Georgia, 31.5 million US dollars to Türkiye, and 15.2 million US dollars to Ukraine.
