In January–March of this year, Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports increased by 11.7% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 862 million US dollars, APA-Economics reports, citing the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
The exports of food products during this period rose by 25.1% to 281 million US dollars.
During the reporting period, exports of sugar increased 4.5 times compared to the same period last year, cotton yarn doubled, vegetable and animal fats and oils grew by 68.4%, raw cotton by 43.5%, fruits and vegetables by 22.1%, aluminum and related products by 20.4%, tea by 15.1%, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 4.3%.
Additionally, in the first quarter, exports of agricultural products increased by 26.6% to 215.6 million US dollars, while exports of agro-industrial products rose by 27.4% to 88 million US dollars. Overall, combined exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products grew by 26.8%, reaching 303.7 million US dollars.
