In January of this year, Azerbaijan exported 4.6 tons of iodine to Russia worth 280.3 thousand USD, and 18 tons to India worth 990 thousand USD, APA reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Iodine exports to Russia declined by 29.2% in value and 30.3% in volume compared to the same month last year.
Note that in January–February of this year, Azerbaijan produced 29.1 tons of iodine, which represents a 0.7% decrease compared to the first two months of 2025. As of March 1, the stock of finished products in industrial warehouses stood at 17.7 tons.
