In Azerbaijan, the fulfillment of water demand for irrigation of agricultural lands will reach 66% by the end of this year, 68% in 2026, 90% in 2027, 95% in 2030, and 100% in 2040, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency told APA-Economics within the framework of Baku Water Week.
According to the information, losses in irrigation water supply will be reduced to 46% by the end of the year, 44% in 2026, 42% in 2027, 30% in 2030, and 10% in 2040.
At the same time, the reconstruction of irrigation channels and collectors is planned in the country for 2025-2027. It is planned that the provision of irrigation water will reach 66% by the end of this year, 68% in 2026, and 90% in 2027.
