The state procurement system for food products in Azerbaijan will be strengthened institutionally and functionally, APA-Economics reports.
This issue is reflected in the “State Program on the development of production and processing sectors of agricultural, fisheries and aquaculture products in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030.”
According to the document, it is envisaged to study international experience and prepare proposals on improving the regulatory and legal framework in order to promote direct procurement from farmers and processors in the centralized supply of food products financed by the state budget.
At the same time, it is targeted to approve relevant normative legal acts and improve the state procurement system for food products, as well as increase the share of purchases from producer farmers and processors in the process of centralized procurement of food products financed by the state budget.
