From January to November 2024, Azerbaijan exported 610,000 tons of fruits and vegetables worth 628 million USD, according to APA-Economics' calculations based on the State Customs Committee.
The value of fruits and vegetables exported from the country decreased by 2.1% or $13.2 million, and the volume decreased by 4.9% or 31.7 thousand tons compared to the same period last year. In the first 11 months of 2023, Azerbaijan exported 641,188,000 USD worth of 641,740 tons of fruits and vegetables.
Note that, the main fruit and vegetable exports during the reporting period included tomatoes (129.8 thousand tons, valued at 155.4 million USD), forest hazelnuts (18.3 thousand tons, valued at 115.9 million USD), dates (120.3 thousand tons, valued at 86.5 million USD), apples (66.9 thousand tons, valued at 53.2 million USD), pomegranates (29.4 thousand tons, valued at 25.8 million USD), and potatoes (48.2 thousand tons, valued at 20.5 million USD).
Recall that during the reporting period, fruits and vegetables accounted for 2.58% of total exports and 20.32% of non-oil product exports.
