Azerbaijan earns nearly $5 million from tea exports in January-July

In January-July of this year, Azerbaijan exported 531.33 tons of tea worth $4.7 million to foreign markets, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Customs Committee.

Compared with January-June 2025, tea exports increased by 19.5% in value terms and by 23.3% in volume terms.

During the reporting period, the country imported 8,124.63 tons of tea worth $48.7 million, representing an increase of 2.4% in value terms and 3.4% in volume terms compared with the corresponding period last year.

Note that 6,537 tons of tea were produced in Azerbaijan during the same period. This was 1.9% less than in the corresponding period last year. As of August 1, finished product inventories at industrial enterprises amounted to 174.1 tons.

Recall that in the first seven months of this year, the average export price of one kilogram of tea was AZN 8.8, while the average import price was AZN 6.
