"This year, the area for grain cultivation in Karabakh will be increased to 70 thousand hectares," said Head of the Crop Production and Monitoring in Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture, Imran Jumshudov, APA-Economics reports.

He noted that 50 thousand hectares of grain were harvested in the liberated territories, while 70,000 hectares are planned for autumn grain planting.

According to him, grain was planted this year in Fuzuli, Zangilan, and Gubadli regions, as well as in a part of Lachin. As the demining of the areas expands, and the settlement increases, the areas allocated to grain cultivation will be increased to 100 thousand hectares.
