"The steps to be taken to increase cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) are significant. The most promising area for the future is agriculture," Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye Ibrahim Yumakli said during his speech at the II Turkic Agro Business Forum, APA reports.
"As an OTS we have a population of more than 170 million. Our revenue is over 1,15 trillion dollars. We have a trade volume of 1.2 trillion dollars. With these we have a very important potential. There is a serious potential that needs to be discovered between our countries. I believe that it will be beneficial for us to establish joint cooperation with the Standards of Islamic countries for the establishment of a common halal infrastructure and the elimination of technical barriers to trade," said Ibrahim Yumakli.
