Azerbaijan puts a ban on Russian meat imports

The State Veterinary Service said the temporary restriction measure applies to animal products, feedings and food additives.
Meat products entering to the country in hand luggage by sea, air or rail transportation routes will be incinerated on the spot.
Earlier, Russian Main State Veterinary Inspectorate said deadly ASF pandemic was found in pigs in Stavropol.
Azerbaijan said the ASF epizootic situation is stable in the country.
ASF is a highly contagious virus causing fatal hemorrhagic disease in pigs. The virus can survive for up to 15 weeks in meat, and up to half a year in processed hams. Swine fever does not pose a threat to humans.
