Azerbaijan and Latvia sign MoU in agriculture sphere - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Today, Azerbaijani and Latvian Ministries of Agriculture have signed memorandum of understanding.

The document was signed by Azerbaijani Minister Ismat Abbasov and Latvian Minister Laimdota Straujuma.

The memorandum covers mutual exchange in agriculture sphere and future development in this sphere.

Speaking about successful development in agriculture sphere Abbasov noted that, Azerbaijan had 80% share in South Caucasus: â€œAzerbaijanâ€™s agriculture production increased by 5.4% during a year. 48% of population live in villages, and 38% of them engage in agricultureâ€.

Thereafter, the minister noted that, that agreement would have positive impact on development of both countriesâ€™ agriculture. He also noted that. Several documents are expected to sign between Azerbaijan and Latvia.

Thereafter, the ministers discussed the issues that they interest in.
