Deputy Turkish Minister: â€œAzerbaijan can become exporting country on food productionâ€

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev - APA-Economics. In future, Azerbaijan can become exporting country on food production. Deputy minister of agriculture of Turkey Vedat Mirmahmudoglu told journalists that as in other spheres, Turkey cooperates with Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture, too.

â€œWe conduct technical cooperation with Azerbaijan in agricultural sphere. Azerbaijan is a very rich country. Here, in addition to oil and gas fields, there are other resources, too. We know that fruit and vegetables are grown in Azerbaijan, the country has great potential in this sphere. Therefore, Azerbaijan can be exporting countryâ€.

The deputy minister added that at present, Azerbaijan imports from Turkey fruits, vegetables, etc. â€œIn order to use a lot of potential in this area we need to develop knowledge and experienceâ€.
