The president noted that increased control will make possible to keep production prices level stable. According to him, measures by separate state bodies to prevent price increase gave results. “In previous years on eve of holiday, prices were increased but not were fallen after the holiday. Every year at least 2 times the prices are increased artificially. We struggle and will struggle with such unpleasant cases. Struggle against who increases prices should be more serious. Punishment measures against them should be more influential,” said Ilham Aliyev.

The President noted that pension reforms will continue as well. “Currently, average pension is 150 AZN or 190 USD. Average salary is 370 AZN or 470 USD. This amount increases and to keep prices in normal level always should be in consideration”.

The Head of the State noted that salary and pensions is paid via plastic cards in the country but the amount is taken immediately by card owners. If the first reason for this case is psychological, second it is not possible to trade in most places with cards. “As there are no POS terminals in most places. The plastic cards have only one function that is to stop unpleasant cases during payment of salary.
President also emphasized that payment of salaries via plastic cards should expand non-cash payments in the country. Therefore there is need for wide operation of POS terminals.

Ilham Aliyev touched importance of struggle with corruption and bribery. “Both administrative and punishment measures should be strengthened. At the same time systematical and institutional reforms should be speeded up. Struggle should not be slowed even for e minute,” said Ilham Aliyev.
