Switzerland can prepare agricultural specialists for Azerbaijan

Baku. Ali Ahmadov - APA-Economics. Students of Azerbaijan State Agricultural University may practice at farms and continue education at agrarian-oriented universities of Switzerland.

This issue was discussed during the meeting between Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abasov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Federation in Turkmenistan Sabine Ulmann Shaban.

They discussed the current state of relations in the field of agriculture, proposed to investigate opportunities of preparation of Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the appropriate state agencies f both countries, quicken signing of agreement on cooperation in veterinary and plant quarantine spheres. Moreover, it was proposed to organize an opportunity for students of Azerbaijan State Agricultural University to practice at different farms of Swiss Confederation and study at agrarian-oriented universities of Switzerland.

Besides, it was considered to conduct information exchange between the two countries on application of modern technology on production of ecologically clean agricultural products, as well as crop production and seed production.
