Farmers to sell products by SMS in Azerbaijan

From now on, by dialing or sending SMS to 6955, the farmers will be able to get information about the products they want to sell. Other users will get information both on prices of products sold by farmers, and prices of food stuffs in main markets of any region.

This system is called - Market Information Commercial Center (MICC), it is posted also on the Internet. Project coordinator Nizami Garayev told APA that the project aims at establishment of rural, market relations: â€œRural-market relations mean to deliver prices of agricultural products to publicâ€.

Garayev noted that, any person can use this on www.agrobusiness.az site after checking of the same information in the center: â€œThe minimum, maximum and average prices, retail and wholesale prices are taken into consideration when the prices are collected. All information can be used via 6955 systemâ€.

Project coordinator stressed that, farmers could apply this system for sale of their products.

At the same time, several services are payable. For example, getting of information about prices are payable. The service fee for both services â€“ calling and sending SMS is AZN 0.40-0.45.
