Opening ceremony of corn processing and glucose production plant held in Oguz region

According to APA-Economics, this plant was established by CPC (Corn Processing Company) LLC in accordance to state programs on socio-economic development of regions. AZN 18 mln was invested in establishment of plant. Of this, AZN 3 mln came from National Entrepreneurship Support Fund.

President Aliyev met with the stand for demonstration of glucose, bran, gluten, and other finished products.

It was noted that, mainly Turkish, US, German and Italian equipments had been constructed in the plant. Along with the production corpus of the plant, grain storehouse and other subsidiary buildings also were constructed. More new 2 grain storehouses are planned to construct in the future. The plant can produce 55 tons of glucose and 20 types of feed products from 80 tons of corn processing. 153 persons have been provided with jobs.

It was noted that, such plant has been constructed in Azerbaijan, for the first time in South Caucasus region. AT the first stage, the plant will produce glucose, thereafter fructose and dextrose.

The primary products base will be formed on the account of local production. For this purpose, talks with farmers in Zagatala, Shaki, Gakh and Oguz are being held. Daily processing capacity of plant is planned to increase to 200 tons in the future.
