Ukraine sets zero iomport duty on buckwheat

Baku - APA-Economics. The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, has set a zero import duty on buckwheat, Interfax reported.

A total of 260 out of 404 lawmakers registered in the session hall on Thursday supported the law on amendments to the customs tariff of Ukraine.

The law sets a zero import duty on buckwheat until June 1, 2011.

According to an explanatory note to the law, Ukraine can buy at least 25,000 tonnes of buckwheat at the minimum price following the cancellation of the import duty.
