Azerbaijan starts to establish new large agrarian complexes

According to APA-Economics, a commission on determining of soil for Seed farms has been already established consisting of representatives of The State Committee of Land and Cartography of Azerbaijan Republic, Ministry of Agriculture and Melioration & Water Economy Company of Azerbaijan. This commission must determine the fertile soil for establishment of agrarian complexes, draft proposals and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers, in two weeks.

According to Agriculture Ministryâ€™s spokesman Gurbanali Huseynov, these complexes are planned to be established in the areas of Free State Land fund and winter pastures of the state. Thatâ€™s why, the commissionâ€™s groups have gone to the regions. The representatives of local executive power and relevant agencies will attend the discussions on determining of soil.

The areas for searching of soil have already been determined: â€œThese include the areas of Gazakh, Samukh regions and Kura-Araz Lowland. In general, weâ€™ll cover all areas that Kur and Araz Rivers cross themâ€.

These new complexes are for cultivation of seed grain. According to him, though there are many such enterprises in the country, but they are very small.

An important infrastructure, including living objects must be constructed in the area of Complex. The areas must meet the several demands. On of them is to be useful for melioration system.

Besides, the residents of settlements near the complex have to be able to work here. Thatâ€™s why, the complex must be established near the settlement having much labour force.

Rafig Suleymanov, the head of Administration of the State Committee of Land and Cartography of Azerbaijan Republic says that these soils will be leased to the entrepreneurs for establishment of these complexes after the determining. At the same time, the state will present grants the same entrepreneurs. But, all necessary melioration measures will be taken in those areas.
