Rising of flour prices influences on bread prices in Azerbaijan - <font color=red>RESEARCH</font>

According to APA-Economics, the retail sale price of bread produced by Sarham LLC increased from 30 kopeck to 40 kopeck. The rising of price is observed in all bread selling points.

General Technologist of Sarham LLC Zarbali Guliyev says that, the enterprise did not raise the price of bread. The bread with the weight of 550-560 gr is sold for 25 kopeck, with the weight of 780-820 gram is sold for 35 kopeck. Today’s changes are related with the increase of production of 40 kopeck-bread.

He also said that, the loss make 120 gr during the production of small-size breads, 100 gr during the large-size bread the loss.

According to specialists, the changes in weight and prices are more useful for the population, than it was before.

Note that, the weight of bread was increased by 250 gr along with the price.

Remind that, the flour prices increased in wholesale points. Jala and Karnaval flours prices increased from AZN 21-22 to AZN 24.5-25. According to salesmen, this is related with rising of grain prices. According to Nazim Agayev, director of Davachi Dayirman LLC, the price of imported grain from Kazakhstan increased by $60 a ton. The ton of grain imported from Kazakhstan increased from $280-285 to $330-335.

Note that, as the results of increase of flour prices, the weight of bread decreased by 80-100 gr. These changes were observed in other regions of the country.

Azerbaijan’s State Service for Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economic Development hold a regular monitoring of food products, including bakery market in stores.
