Ukraine to cancel the tightened control for grain exports

Baku - APA-Economics. The State Customs Service of Ukraine abolished the letter of the department of analyzing work, risk management and audit dd. August 2, 2010, №17/1-10/2276-ЕP, which strengthened the control for grain export process, informed the announcement of the State Customs Service.

The reporting letter stipulated that in order to tighten the control for export operations with grains, the further customs clearance of grain cargoes had to be provided with the obligatory attraction of subdivisions of smuggling prevention and customs offenses, departments of grain nomenclature and classification. Besides, the letter also provided the procedure of grain sampling for the further analysis of grain qualitative parameters in the Kiev scientific research institute of forensic enquiry. According to the letter, the customs clearance became completed after receiving of results of the expert appraisal only.

As a reminder, according to the announcements of Ukrainian Grain Association, in August-September period traders faced problems with grain exports, because vessels with grain cargoes were delayed in the ports, and the Customs Service did not provide permission for grain exports. Vladimir Klimenko, the President of Ukrainian Grain Association, marked that several vessels stopped in the ports during over 1.5-2 months. At the same time, according to him, it is very dangerous to restrain grain exports. It is necessary to allow to agrarians to sell produced grains, in order to invest money in the autumn sowing campaign.
