US Machinery and Technology in Farming discussed in Baku
Mammad Musayev, President of the Confederation, said that farmers have recently shown interest in the introduction of advanced technologies to increase productivity and reduce losses.
Some businessmen have already imported agricultural machinery manufactured in Japan, the United States and Israel, he added.
Tengiz Jikia, Director of TI Aqroservis, gave a presentation on artificial irrigation system of Valmont Irrigation Inc., tractors and equipment of John Deere International.
According to him, this equipment is already usedd in Bilasuvar region in 3 400 hectares.
The company plans to introduce advanced technology in other areas too.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Ministry of Agriculture, the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Development, Agroleasing, etc.
