International Agricultural Exhibition to be held in Azerbaijan next week

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-ECONOMICS. CaspianAgro - 2009 International Exhibition will be held in Baku n from October 6-9, said Azerbaijanâ€™s Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilham Guliyev at a press conference.

The purpose of the exhibition is to show off home-grown agricultural goods, experience and best achievements, encouraging foreign companies to invest in Azerbaijan, he said.

In his words, more than 80 companies have confirmed their participation in the exhibition.

He added that the exhibition is to be attended by Agricultural Ministers of Belarus, Lithuania, Italy and Ukraine, Deputy Minister of Jordan, senior officers of agricultural ministries of Qatar and Korea, as well as delegations of 25 businessmen from Russia and Germany.

Latvia, Belarus and Syria will present their national stands at the exhibition.

The exhibition is organized by Azerbaijanâ€™s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Economic Development.
