To date, 14 applications have been received from Russian companies on work in the liberated territories, Ilham Aliyev says

"Today we also discussed issues related to the participation of Russian companies in the work in the liberated territories. There is a lot of interest," said Azerbaijan President İlham Aliyev as he made a press statement following the meeting with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in Moscow, APA reports.

"To date, 14 applications have been received from Russian companies, and we are closely examining them.

I believe that this is a new area of our cooperation – it will be useful from a practical point of view and will also strengthen the level of our interaction.

And, of course, we have also discussed in detail the post-conflict situation in the region. We are grateful to Russia and personally to President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin for their role in ending the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia and in post-conflict settlement efforts. I think that given such a long-term confrontation – about 30 years – and such huge losses that Azerbaijan was faced with, the fact that after a little over a year Azerbaijan and Armenia are already involved in at least two international formats, namely, the working group at the level of vice-premiers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, as well as the “3+3 platform”, which includes Russia, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, is already an indicator of our intentions."
